All paid tiers include unmetered on-device personalize. Compute on the user's phone is theirs, not ours.

Tier by tier.

Same artifact format on every plan. The difference is how often you compile and what tiers you can ship.

What does it save you.

A rough sketch. Plug in your team size, monthly compiles, and current frontier API spend. Numbers update live.

Self-host on a paid kolm tier vs. doing the same tasks against a frontier API every call. Compile once, run on the device a thousand times.

kolm Pro cost
$245
Frontier passthrough

Monthly delta

Assumes Pro at $49 per seat per month with frontier judge passthrough only on compile, not on every run. On-device personalize is unmetered.

Questions.

If your question isn't here, write hi@kolm.ai.

Is my user's data sent to kolm?
No. The cloud only sees what you, the developer, author. Kolm's cloud sees your app's task spec, seed examples, evals, and target devices. The user's private data is only read by the on-device runtime.
What is an Adapter, exactly?
An Adapter is your task's declarative graph plus a small LoRA delta distilled on your evals. Think 10 to 100 megabytes. It loads against any kolm base and personalizes against the user's local memory. Adapter is the default for new compiles.
Can I export my artifacts?
Yes. Every artifact is a single signed file that you own. Export from the dashboard, or pull it via the CLI. The receipt travels with it.
Do I need to bring my own frontier API key?
For Free, no, but you can't pick a Specialist tier. For Mobile and Pro, the frontier judge passthrough uses your own key. You control the spend; we never resell tokens.
How does on-device personalize stay private?
The artifact is a declarative graph. The native runtime parses it, verifies the signature, verifies the receipt hash, and only then runs deterministic ops against local data. There is no JIT, no eval(), no downloaded executable code. Apple App Review 2.5.2 safe by construction.
Does kolm work offline?
Yes. After download, an artifact runs without a network. WebGPU and WASM on the web; native runtime on iOS, Android, server.
Can I run kolm air-gapped?
On Enterprise, yes. The Bundle tier ships a portable index plus a quantized base, signed end to end. Pair it with the private registry mirror for full air-gap.
Is the spec really MIT?
Yes. RS-1 (the receipt schema), the manifest, and the recall format are MIT. The verifier is a few hundred lines of code and ships with the SDK. RS-1 spec ›
What about HIPAA, GDPR, EU AI Act?
BAA and DPA are available on request for Pro, automatic for Enterprise. The receipt format is the exact disclosure the EU AI Act asks for. Security ›
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. Cancel from your dashboard. Artifacts you've already compiled stay yours. The receipts are signed and don't depend on our infrastructure to verify.
Do you offer student or open-source discounts?
Free is genuinely free. For OSS maintainers shipping a public artifact, write hi@kolm.ai and we'll set you up.
